A name families remember

At the heart of Nambisan’s lies a story of craft, patience and purity — one that began more than ninety years ago with the simple, sacred art of ghee making.

We do not work to give you just another product. We work to give you something you will cherish for its quality, and for what it does to the food you cook for the people you love.

From the milk belt of South India

Our traditional cooking ghee is made from the best of the dairy produce from the milk belt of South India. Pure cow butter is heated gently over a slow flame and allowed to simmer — four days from butter to jar — so the milk solids caramelise evenly and the ghee settles into its fine, natural grain.

That grain, and the nutty aroma when you open a fresh jar, cannot be hurried.

Tradition, kept current

Since 2016 our ghee has been made at our own plant in the SIPCOT Industrial Growth Centre at Perundurai, Erode — designed in Europe, where stainless steel and process control protect a recipe that has not changed.

Nambisan’s is one of the few producers whose ghee is standardised and carries the Agmark grade.

The people behind the jar

Our team continuously monitors the quality and taste of what we make, and learns from the regular feedback of dependable customers. Every batch is tasted. Every complaint is read.

Since 2020 the name has also carried Wildflower Honey — held to exactly the same standard.
